Bergenia ‘Purpurea’ (Elephant's Ears 'Purpurea') is an evergreen perennial that changes constitution over the year.

It has rugged green leaves that deepen to a rich purple colour in cold weather. Upright stems adorned with bright pink flowers come out in early spring.
